This is the second of three “ethics” modules. The focus of this module is to provide the individual with the tools necessary to ascertain when ethical dilemmas occur and provide a variety of tools to work through these dilemmas towards making a fair and defensible decision.
After successful completion of this session, students will be able to:
- explain the values and ethical principles of the vocational rehabilitation professional
- explain how these values lay the foundation of the ethical decision-making process
- identify how biases can affect once decision-making in an ethical dilemma
- identify different ethical decision-making models/principles
- apply an ethical decision-making model to an ethical dilemma
- apply steps to evaluate the decision you have made
