Module 203: Vocational Rehabilitation and Psychological Barriers

One of the fastest-growing groups of clients that the VR professional is likely to encounter are those clients with psychological disabilities.  This module examines the variety of psychological issues that clients experience and the impact on entering or re-entering employment.

Upon completion of this module, students will be able to demonstrate:

• An increased understanding of some of the more common psychological disabilities
• A better understanding of how living with psychological disabilities may impact a person’s ability to engage in vocational rehabilitation
• An increased awareness of how symptoms of psychological disabilities may appear in the workplace or training environments
